Health & Well Being

Hafod is committed to working with other agencies, and local community groups, on local projects that help improve the health and well-being of residents. We have supported a whole range of initiatives including:

  • Working with young people in Rhydyfelin and Fir Tree Dive to look at healthy eating options
  • Working in both St Mellons and Thornhill to develop sporting opportunities for children and young people
  • Supporting the efforts of our tenants groups to provide opportunities for older people including tea dances, day trips and IT provision within our residential homes.
  • Supporting Food Co-operatives in Llanharry, St Mellons and Thornhill, Cwmbran.  For more information on food co-operatives please contact the Rural Regeneration Unit on 01443 402317 or 07918715718, richardreast@rru.org.uk or visit the website at www.ruralregeneration.org.uk
