A Nightout in Nantyffyllon…
Professional performers have made their way to Nantyffyllon Youth Club! These performances have been made possible by the Arts Council for Wales' Night Out scheme. This scheme helps local organisations bring professional performances into community building at subsidised prices.
Yyoung people and volunteers of Nantyffyllon Youth Club have worked with Night Out and Hafod staff to deliver the Young Promoters Scheme. The young people get involved in every aspect of promoting an event, from choosing the show, to selling the refreshments to the audience they have attracted in.
Youth volunteer, Bethan Mably said, "...for once, the young people get to make all the decisions - and do all the work!"
Alan Hurly, youth club leader continued, "...That wasn't the end of the hard work though, on the night there was still plenty to do, greet the audience, organise refreshments, not to forget the clean up after everyone's gone!"
