Mynydd Glas Neighbourhood Watch Visit St. Fagans

Wednesday 1st June 2011

The tenants and residents of Nantyffyllon enjoyed a Whitsun outing to St. Fagans. The friends and neighbours packed a picnic, wrapped up against the windy, and sometimes wet, weather to enjoy a day of Welsh culture.

Those attending had the opportunity to get involved in half term crafts, nature walks and other activities provided by the museum. Thomas ‘Farmer’ George explained, “…this is great, a fun family day out with friends and neighbours.”

The outing was made possible with the support of Hafod’s Community Focus Team who organised and paid for the transport on the day. The members of the Neighbourhood Watch kept a list of those attending.

If you would like to find out more or would like to get involved in your local community group, please contact Hafod on 029 2067 5800 and ask for a member of the Community Focus Team.
