Star FC Multi Sports Activity Summer Programme
A 4 week programme of different sports has kept children busy and out of mischief in St Mellons. Local club STAR FC once again provided qualified staff with sponsorship provided by the 3 housing associations and Communities First as well as grants from O² and Safer Capital under its transforming neighbourhood programme. The children didn't seem to mind the appalling weather with over 70 children participating in the 3 hour activity sessions.
Each child received a Certificate and was treated to an end of project celebration lunch. Those who took part commented on making new friends, and learning new skills such as throwing and catching. Others mentioned team work and one said "What shame it wasn't for the whole holiday!"
