Training Opportunities with Hafod

Are you a Hafod tenant? Do you volunteer in your local community? Would you like to learn some new skills to help with your volunteering? Hafod offers a number of training opportunities for tenants who want to make a difference in their local community.

This year's training programme for tenants includes first aid and food hygiene courses to help people to organise community events, like fun days, trips and barbeques. Hafod tenants who are involved in community groups like tenant associations or Neighbourhood Watches might be interested in a one-day course in minute-taking and bookkeeping. Or you might want to learn some computer skills - later in the year there will be one-day courses in using the Internet, digital photography and looking for funding on the Internet.

Dates for the training are as follows:

Thursday, 22nd July - Basic & Emergency First Aid (St John's Wales, Cardiff)

Friday, 23rd July - Food Hygiene (St John's Wales, Cardiff)

Wednesday, 18th August - Basic & Emergency First Aid (St John's Wales, Cardiff)

Thursday, 19th August - Food Hygiene (St John's Wales, Cardiff)

Thursday, 9th September - Minute-taking & accounts for tenant groups (Hafod Head Office, Cardiff)

Dates for the computer skills training will be available shortly. If you are a Hafod tenant and would like to attend any of the above training courses, please contact James Penfold, Tenant Participation Officer, on 029 2067 5865 or jpenfold@hafod.org.uk.
