Craig Yr Hendre Tenant & Resident Association
Craig Yr Hendre is a retirement scheme in Bedlinog providing accommodation for tenants aged 55 and over. Our Group was constituted in 2005. Our aim was to instigate real action to improve quality of life for residents and to provide a common voice for tenants. Our identified areas for action were:
- to improve health, fitness and general well being of tenants and residents
- to improve facilities within our scheme
- to promote and organise more social and other recreational activities for residents
- to encourage more residents to participate and generally have a greater say in how their homes are managed
Our current committee is: Brenda Richards (Chair)
Helen McNally (Treasurer)
Graham Robinson (Secretary)
Laura Davies (committee member)
Lydia Williams (committee member)
Mike McGranagan (committee member) To contact us please call our Scheme Manager Sian Bevan who can be called on 01443 710851 or email sianb@hafod.org.uk Our Association is open to all residents and the committee holds meetings bi-monthly. We have an action plan which is updated yearly. So far, we have organised lots of activities which have been a big success. These include:

We have also organised the refurbishment of our communal lounge. We have more events and fun days planned for Autumn and Christmas. We work with, and receive funding from lots of partner organisations including Hafod, Communities First and the Community Council. We also have links with the Local Health Board who assist with organising the health and diabetes clinics and PACT (Police and Communities Together). We attend the annual TPAS Cymru conference as well the bi-monthly Tenant Participation Working Group.
