Tenants' Making A Difference
We want as many of our tenants' as possible to become involved in their local communities and also to work with us to make decisions that will improve our housing services.
Our Tenant Participation Officer works alongside our team of housing officers to encourage tenants to come forward and make a real difference to their neighbourhoods.
Why should I get involved?
Getting involved gives you more control over decisions that affect both your own home and your community. Most of our involved tenants' tell us that they feel a real sense of achievement when their efforts result in making a positive difference to their neighbourhood. Most of our involvment activities are very sociable, so they are also an excellent way to not only learn new skills but to also meet other like-minded people and make new friends.
How can I get involved?
We know that everyone's lives are different and so we have lots of different ways for you to become involved in a way that suits you. These include:
- street and estate walkabouts with your local housing officer
- focus groups to look at particular issues
- tenants and residents associations
- service improvement groups which look at ways that particular services, such as repairs could improve
- tenant satisfaction surveys
For a more in depth discussion on ways to get involved please contact the Community Focus Team on 02920 675800 or speak to your housing officer.
