All aspects of the company's activities have been reviewed with regard to their impacts on the environment and to identify environmental improvements.

Environmental Management
We will continue to share good practice, not only internally, but also from external sources with our staff and tenants, on issues of environmental importance. We will use a variety of methods to achieve this goal and will review these annually.

Energy
Being aware that we consume energy which is a natural resource, we will monitor the amounts of gas and electricity we use and advise our staff on methods to reduce their consumption. When we can, we will look into other suppliers and give consideration to their commitment to the environment.

Waste
As a producer of waste, Hafod Housing Association will ensure that all waste that can be, will be recycled. We will monitor annually, to ensure that this is happening. We will promote this approach with our tenants and contractors.

Transport
Hafod Housing Association is aware that emissions from vehicles have a negative impact on the environment. We will monitor the amount of travelling our staff do and try to encourage staff to use public transport where reasonable to do so and route plan to avoid unnecessary mileage wherever possible.

Landscaping
We acknowledge our responsibility to the infrastructure of our estate and surrounding environment, and will consider this in all work we do.

Community Involvement
Our Community Focus Team will lead on engaging with local communities and partners to highlight the importance of environmental issues
