Living in your home

We will help you stay in your home with confidence for as long as you want to and support you when you encounter problems. We will help you access support if required.

How we will work to achieve the standard

We will:
• Provide advice and information on all aspects of your tenancy at a meeting with your Housing Officer when you sign your tenancy agreement.
• Provide you with a welcome information pack.
• Make a follow up welcome visit 4-6 weeks after you have moved into your new home to answer any queries or concerns you may have.
• Consult with you on any proposed changes to the arrangements for providing a housing management and maintenance service to your home.
• Act quickly when a breach of tenancy is reported to us.
• Provide details on your rights to mutual exchange which allows you to exchange your home with another tenant and up to date information on mutual exchanges for your area.
• Process mutual exchange applications within 42 days of receipt.
• Make sure information regarding allocations, waiting lists and lettings policies of local authorities is available.
