Apprentices celebrate their one year work-anniversary

Four of our apprentices celebrate their one year work-anniversary.

In partnership with Welsh Government they have been completing two qualifications in business administration to help them develop new skills and support them on their career paths by learning while they work with the support of TSW Training.

Rebecca Shand, our Learning and Development Business Partner, said: “Our business administration apprentices joined Hafod one year ago today and what a year it has been! All four apprentices have made excellent progress with their studies.

“Alys is now considering studying for a level 4 higher apprenticeship in advertising, marketing and communications having completed her level 2 and 3.

“Keisha is nearing completion of her level 3 and is now considering studying for a level 3 in learning and development.

“Abdul and Cameron have both now completed their level 2 qualifications and are working hard toward completing their level 3 awards whilst gaining experience in their current departments of Maintenance and HR respectively.

“We regularly receive glowing feedback on all of our apprentices and I’m hugely impressed with the impression that they have made on the organisation over the past 12 months.

“I’m looking forward to seeing what the next 12 have in store for them as well as welcoming more apprentices to Hafod in 2019.”

Earlier this year we partnered with Cardiff and Vale College to bring our first adult learner’s drop-in session where we encouraged all staff to go along and learn about the opportunities available to them. Not only are we encouraging the development of new aspiring individuals, we want everyone to know there are benefits available in support of their job roles.
