Many of our residents have celebrated birthdays during the lockdown with our staff going the extra mile to make sure they feel very special. Here’s a snapshot of some of the birthdays girls and boys.
One resident at our Cwmbran House Care Home turned 100 on Monday 27 April. Great Grandmother, May, received lots of lovely flowers and cards, including a telegram from the Queen to mark this special occasion.
Staff at the home played music and sang songs to celebrate this wonderful milestone.
May had a busy day ringing around her family and friends on her mobile phone. She also enjoyed some time in the garden and was able to wave to her granddaughter and two great grandsons which was a special moment for them all.
Cwmbran House manager, June Clark, said: “Although May has only been with us for a short while she is a big part of the Cwmbran House family. Her gentle nature and smile makes our job even more worthwhile.
“May enjoys sending and receiving emails which is partly why she chose Cwmbran House after checking reports about internet facilities. Her enthusiasm for technology at 100 years young puts some of us to shame!”
