Residents at our Cwmbran House Care Home were treated to a dance spectacular by staff and couldn’t resist joining in with the moves too!
Our residents’ well-being is always one of our main priorities and maintaining a happy social environment is particularly important at the moment. Interaction between residents and with staff is a vital part of each day and they’re doing everything they can to ensure it continues as much as possible.
Care Assistant, Margarita came up with the idea to put on a little performance. Helping hand, Elian Mai, quickly thought up some dance moves on the spot, which the rest of the newly formed ‘dance troop’ followed along with.
A special appearance was made by Ken, who is one of our housing neighbourhood coaches. He’s just one of our colleagues who’s supporting our care homes as part of our Helping Hands programme.
Ken, said: “To see the residents swaying and clapping and laughing along with us showed me how much joy the relationships between carers and residents can bring in these difficult times. They are all fantastic.”
We’re really proud of all of our staff who keep smiling and lifting spirits regardless of the challenging circumstances. It’s true to say we’ve realised a few hidden talents over recent weeks which have been a welcome addition during lockdown.
