We are delighted to welcome Neil Davies to our Board.
Neil, an accomplished senior finance professional, has over 18 years’ experience in international manufacturing and trading, predominantly within the steel industry.
After graduating from Cardiff University, Neil joined PricewaterhouseCoopers in 1997 and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2000.
In November 2000 Neil joined Corus Group Plc and over his 16 years in the South Wales steel industry held various senior roles at both a corporate and business level.
Over this period Neil also held various other roles including CBI Wales Council Member between 2013 and 2015 and trustee director of the British Steel Pension Scheme between 2012 and 2015.
In 2016, he was one of three executives, along with a consortium of business and public service representatives, who formed an employee management buyout bid for Tata Steel UK.
Currently a Finance Director with the Stemcor Global Holdings Group, a leading independent service provider for the steel industry, based at its headquarters in London, Neil is delighted to have joined Hafod and is keen to support the organisation as it moves forward.
Neil said of his appointment to the Hafod Board: “I’m very pleased to be joining the Board of Hafod at such an important time in the organisation’s development. This is an exciting opportunity for me and I am keen to share my experience and skills to help make a contribution to the delivery of Hafod’s vision”.
