Developed in partnership with Cardiff City Council and Welsh Government, the £2.1m scheme will provide six two-bedroom and 16 one-bedroom apartments available for affordable rent for individuals aged 55 and over. These much needed homes are on the site of the former Cathedral View Care Home which closed in 2015.
With completion due later this year, Hafod is looking for suggestions to name the new scheme. Matthew Davies, Head of Investment and Growth at Hafod, said: “2018 is an exciting year for Hafod as we mark our 50th anniversary so ideally names would be linked to this milestone, the local area and/or its history and we welcome names in both English and Welsh.”
To be eligible to win the naming competition you must submit your entry by using the form below by Friday 10 August 2018. Entries cannot be an individual’s name and if more than one of the same name is suggested then the one which was submitted first will prevail. The panel’s decision will be final.
The homes will be allocated by Cardiff City Council so please contact them directly to register your interest. Call 029 2053 7111, visit Cardiff Housing or pop into your local Cardiff Council Hub.
