Retirement homes
Residents are free to enjoy the privacy of their own home but many opt to take part in the many social activities that are on offer. Extra reassurance is provided by the community alarm service (CAS) which provides emergency cover. Under the CAS, an alarm links residents to a central control room and help can be reached day or night. Each scheme benefits from a communal lounge, kitchen, laundry and a fully furnished guest bedroom (with separate bathroom) where visitors can stay overnight for a nominal charge.
