We’re pleased to announce the appointment of three new contractors to deliver our repairs and maintenance services across Hafod homes, care homes and support schemes.

Following a long and thorough tender process that included customers, new regional contracts have now been awarded as part of our commitment to improving service quality, strengthening local delivery and building closer relationships with the communities we serve.

Jeff Way Group
Covering Bridgend

Chris Way, Director at Jeff Way Group, said:

“We are very excited to be appointed to this framework. We look forward to working with Hafod to support customers, residents and tenants through safe, efficient and high-quality service delivery.”

This regional approach is designed to ensure better local knowledge, more consistent service delivery, and stronger collaboration between contractors, colleagues, and customers.

A key feature of the procurement process was its collaborative nature. Colleagues from across Hafod were involved in evaluating submissions, alongside customers through our Scrutiny Panel, helping to ensure that social value and customer priorities were central to decision-making.

Sarah Hancock, Interim Director of Asset Management, said:
“Responsive repairs and maintenance play a vital role in the day‑to‑day experience customers have of our services and remain a key priority for us.

“This new regional approach is designed to improve service quality and consistency, build stronger local knowledge of homes and communities, and strengthen relationships between contractors, colleagues and customers.

“I am delighted to welcome our three new contractors and look forward to building strong working relationships with them. I would also like to extend my thanks to Cardo for their hard work.”

All responsive repair orders raised from 1 June will be allocated to the newly appointed contractors, with customers beginning to see them working in their local areas from this date.

There will be a short crossover period during which Cardo will continue to complete outstanding works already in progress, ensuring a smooth transition for customers.

We would like to thank Cardo for their hard work and support throughout their contract.
