Following the success of our first Social Value Celebration event in Cardiff earlier this year, we were delighted to bring our second event to Rhondda Cynon Taf.
The celebration shone a spotlight on the fantastic work being delivered by our customers and community groups, giving people the opportunity to showcase the projects and initiatives making a positive impact in their communities.
It was an inspiring reminder that the people who know their communities best are those who live in them. They have the knowledge, passion and determination to create lasting change where it matters most.
A highlight of the event was our very own Dragon’s Den, where participants pitched their ideas to a panel of three Dragons for the chance to secure funding and bring their projects to life.
A huge thank you to our Dragons, Coran Davies of Davies Contractors LTD, Rhian John of Howdens, and Alice, a customer at Ty Heulog Extra Care Scheme. Together, they supported five fantastic projects, ranging from improvements to communal spaces and inclusive activities to a mural celebrating local history.
Congratulations to everyone who took part. The passion, creativity and commitment on display demonstrated the incredible difference local people are making in their communities every day.
