Tenants in Maes Ganol, Rhydyfelin had a fun Community Day recently. It was organised by a Hafod tenant, and supported by Hafod’s Social Value Fund and Neighbourhood Coaches.
Hafod tenant Ben Owens, asked his neighbours what kind of event they would like. Then he worked with his Neighbourhood Coach, who supported him to organise and fund the event during the half-term holiday.
Even though the weather wasn’t great, everyone had a lovely time. Ben also spoke to other tenants and they are now looking to start a new Community Group run by the tenants.
Thanks to Ben’s hard work, fundraising, and support from Hafod, we hope the new Maes Ganol Community Group will be up and running soon!
